Materials List
If you have your own brushes, palette knives and paints, do bring them along. If you are starting out & would like to try out materials & equipment on a course before buying your own, or if you are travelling light, then studio paints, knives and brushes are available for an additional €5 per day. Paints
A basic range of colours is all that's needed to get started. Daler-Rowney Georgian is a good brand and from personal experience I would recommend their range of paints. Try to avoid cheap brands of oil paint as these are difficult to paint with and their colours lack vibrancy.
Suggestion: Daler-Rowney have a Georgian Starter 6 Pack Set of 22ml paints. This is available from all good art suppliers. Although you would still need to purchase Sap Green and Yellow Green this is a good place to start. This is currently available at a special price from Cork Art Supplies.
Brushes/Knives
Check out the locally based Crafty Alley Shop Killarney, with an ever growing collection of art supplies, who are now offering special rates to those attending courses with Killarney Art Holidays.
