Night Classes

Night courses for beginners and intermediate painters will run in blocks of 7 weeks through the year. Tuition is on Tuesdays from 6pm-8pm. Small Groups only maximum of 6, in The Back Lane Gallery, beside Quills, Killarney  http://thebacklanegallery.blogspot.com

Canvasses, use of easels and tea, coffee & biscuits are provided. Paints can be supplied for an additional €5 per class. Course cost €175 for 7 classes.

Schedule

Classes are held in the art room at The Back Lane Gallery, Killarney town centre.

During classes, we will go through a step-by-step painting, which will be a landscape from Killarney National Park. We will work from photographs and I will demonstrate each stage, explaining and analysing the techniques I use, which will be a mixture of brush & palette knife. Its then up to each person to try out these techniques, and/or come up with individual interpretations. There's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to paint, and my aim is to share the skills I have acquired along the way and encourage you to practice & develop yours. A lot of it is about gaining confidence and keeping going!

Individual Cost for 7-week night course is €175.00

Maximum of 6 places on course ensuring hands-on attention to all students.

Tutoring 2 hours (please arrive 10 mins early to set up)

Boards to paint on, but not paints or brushes (see materials list)

Use of studio easel

Course Notes: A sheet of class notes will be given to participants at each course, which will summarise all the points made during the course, including tips on colour mixing, composition, palette knife & brush techniques
