5 Day Course Details

Weekly courses run from Monday to Friday. Tuition is from 10:00am each day until 1.00pm, when classes finish. Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided. Cost is €270 excluding paints, or if you would like to use studio paint & brushes/palette knives, these can be supplied at an additional cost of €5.00 per day.

Schedule

We will complete a step-by-step painting, which will be a landscape painting of Killarney National Park. Courses are 'Plein Air' in the summer with the option to work indoors if the weather turns poor. I will demonstrate each stage, explaining and analysing the techniques I use, which will be a mixture of brush & palette knife. Its then up to each person to try out these techniques, and/or come up with individual interpretations. There's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to paint, and my aim is to share the skills I have acquired along the way and encourage you to practice & develop yours. A lot of it is about gaining confidence and keeping going!

Course Cost (non residential)

Individual Cost for the week's course is €270, with an additional €5 per day if you would like to use studio paints/ knives & brushes

Course Notes: A sheet of class notes will be given to participants at each course, which will summarise all the points made during the course, including tips on colour mixing, composition, palette knife & brush techniques.
