1 Day Course

Whether you live locally or are a visitor to the area, our one day courses give you a taste of oil painting and are the perfect way to spend a day in Killarney. Lose yourself in creative activity and take home a memory of the National Park.

One-day adult courses run every Friday at the studio, and are a great wet-weather option. Simply phone beforehand to reserve a place. Tuition is from 10:00am until 1:00pm, when classes finish. Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided. Cost is €55 excluding paints, or if you would like to use studio paint & brushes/palette knives, these can be supplied at an additional cost of €5.00.

Schedule

We will do a fully tutored step by step painting which will be a landscape from Killarney National Park. We will work from photographs and I will demonstrate each stage, explaining and analysing the techniques I use, which will be a mixture of brush and palette knife. Its then up to each person to try out these techniques, and/or come up with individual interpretations. There's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to paint, and my aim is to share the skills I have acquired along the way and encourage you to practice and develop yours. A lot of it is about gaining confidence and keeping going!

Course Cost (non residential)

Individual Cost for the one day course is €55, or €60 including paint & equipment
Group Rate Discount of 10% available for groups of 3 or more.
