Courses
Whether you live locally or are a visitor to the area, our courses are the perfect way to spend time in Killarney. Lose yourself in creative activity and take home a memory of the National Park.
Courses are tailored to suit individuals from the beginner to the intermediate painter and cover all aspects of composition, colour mixing, technique, palette knife & brush skills.
Step-by-Step Painting
Students go through a fully tutored step-by-step painting, usually a landscape from Killarney National Park. We work from photographs and I demonstrate each stage, explaining and teaching the techniques I use, which is a mixture of brush & palette knife. Its then up to each person to try out these techniques, or come up with their own individual interpretations. There’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to paint, and my aim is to share the skills I have acquired along the way and to encourage you to practice & develop yours. A lot of it is about gaining confidence and keeping going!
