About UsTina Reed works in oils using an impasto technique and strong colours, layering and texturing the paint with the energy, vigour and vibrancy that is in the landscapes of South West Ireland. Tina Reed has over 20 years experience as an artist, covering various disciplines, beginning in the fashion business, with a degree from Leeds University, England in textile-design. Having worked for several years as a free-lance print designer, Tina travelled to San Francisco US, painting murals, & so called ‘faux’ marble & wood effects, before coming to Killarney in 2000. She is now an established landscape artist, exhibiting and selling original art both locally and internationally, whilst running oil-painting classes in Killarney. Teaching Tina has been teaching for many years in Killarney, and has an established group of local people who reguarly attend night classes, as well as those who come from further afield for weekend courses. She has an analytical approach to teaching and is able to impart her methods and describe techniques and skills in a way that people can understand, retain and incorporate into their own style. From the beginner to the more experienced, participants come away with new skills and a new confidence.
