2 Day Course Details
Two-day adult courses run from Saturday to Sunday. See below for dates. Alternatively, if weekdays suit, see 5-Day course dates. Places may be available for one, two or three days of the 5-day course, with prior arrangement. Tuition is from 10:00am each day until 1.00pm, or 2pm until 5pm, see individual course for times. Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided. Cost is €115 excluding paints, or if you would like to use studio paint & brushes/palette knives, these can be supplied at an additional cost of €5.00 per day.

Schedule
We will complete a step-by-step painting, which will be a landscape painting of Killarney National Park. Courses are 'Plein Air' during the summer, and studio based in winter, with the option to work indoors at any time if the weather turns poor. I will demonstrate each stage, explaining and analysing the techniques I use, which will be a mixture of brush & palette knife. Its then up to each person to try out these techniques, and/or come up with individual interpretations. There's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to paint, and my aim is to share the skills I have acquired along the way and encourage you to practice & develop yours. A lot of it is about gaining confidence and keeping going!
Individual Cost for a 2 day course is €115 (or €125 to include use of studio paints) Cost for Muckross Farm Courses is €125 including entry to the Farms. What's Included in the Costs
Tutoring is 3 hours both days Course Notes: A sheet of class notes will be given to participants at each course, which will summarise all the points made during the course, including tips on colour mixing, composition, palette knife & brush techniques. |
